Ishvara Pranidhara Dharma Talk

Ishvara pranidhana (ईश्वर प्रणिधान ) is the last Niyama. Hello & Welcome! I can’t believe we are on the last Niyama and wrapping up this series of Dharma talks on the first two limbs of yoga!

Ishvara Pranidhana translates to surrender and devotion. It means not having attachment to the results of your efforts and trusting in a power that is greater than just you. That power can be a deity or belief system of your choosing, or it can be the greater universe.

This niyama is a bridge to other yogic texts, including the Bhagavad Gita, which we will cover in a future series! Whatever your system of belief is, doing the right thing, not being attached to the results of your actions, and trusting in a power that is greater than you is the fundamental lesson and path to liberation that yoga has to offer us.

Thank you for joining me on this journey of self discovery through yoga. I am grateful for your practice and your presence.
